2016 Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc

We believe in wines that are true to their varietals and this wine is classic Cabernet Franc. It exhibits kitchen herbal flavors on the nose, which assert themselves on the palate. Additional fresh forest floor notes as well as plum, dark currant and huckleberry fruit notes. There is an elegant lift on the finish from subdued acids. The 2016 vintage was an easy growing season, which resulted in high yields. What looked to be another very warm vintage early on, led to cooling temperatures during the second half of harvest. It started around mid-September with the last fruit coming in at the end of October.
